Spin the Wheel – Random Picker Wheel

WheelySpin is a free spinning wheel for picking names, winners and answers at random. Type or paste your entries, press Spin, and the wheel lands on one of them. Every spin is decided by your browser's cryptographic random number generator, so each entry has exactly the same chance.

Use it as a wheel of names in class, a prize wheel for a giveaway, or a decision wheel when you can't choose. Your list saves in your browser, and you can share any wheel with a link.

How to use the wheel

  1. Type your entries in the box, one per line, or pick a ready-made list.
  2. Press Spin, tap the wheel, or press Ctrl+Enter.
  3. Read the result. Remove it from the wheel if it shouldn't be picked again.
  4. Copy a link to share your wheel, or go full screen to show it to a room.

What people use the wheel for

  • Picking a student to answer in class (a wheel of names)
  • Choosing a giveaway or raffle winner
  • Deciding what to eat, watch or do
  • Assigning chores, tasks or turns
  • Party games and forfeits
  • Breaking a tie fairly

Frequently asked questions

Is the wheel really random?

Yes. The winner is chosen before the wheel moves, using crypto.getRandomValues(), the same source browsers use for security keys. The animation only shows the result. You can test it yourself on our randomness audit page.

How many entries can I add?

Up to 1,000. Labels shrink as you add more. With very long lists the wheel hides the labels and shows the winner in a pop-up.

Is my list saved?

Your entries are saved in your browser on this device and are never sent to our server. Use "Copy link to this wheel" to open the same wheel on another device.

Can I remove the winner after each spin?

Yes. Tick "Remove the winner after each spin" and the picked entry is taken off before the next spin, so nobody is picked twice.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. It works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers, with no app or download.
